Key Changes
The concept for my redesign of the Denver Botanic Gardens app focuses on fostering engagement with learning resources and improving navigation to cater to users' interests and needs. By streamlining categorization and enhancing accessibility, the app encourages users to explore and deepen their understanding of plants, aligning with the gardens’ mission of building a stronger connection between people and nature.
User profile
Focusing on familys and young adults living in and around the city, these audiences have easy access to the parks yet busy schedules. With a diverse range of interests and an openness to learn, these users need clear direction to resources in and outside the parks to have a meaningful, relaxing experience.
Needs
External links, lengthy resources and unclear navigation makes the app use inefficient. Users would benefit from having a personalized way to find and organize the events they want to attend and information to learn.

Takeaways
A minimal approach with personality offers this business a method of differentiation from the other major gardens. However, going forward I believe it's important to find the balance in introducing major changes for greater accessibility, and still maintaining a sense of familiarity.
